My Testimony

On June 21, 1992, I was outside hanging out with my friends. All of a sudden, I saw a car come blazing around the corner. It jumped the curb. The next thing I remember, I woke up in the hospital. My friends later told me that the car had jumped the curve and hit me.

My parents told me that I had bleed internally. I also had several broken ribs and my lungs had collapsed. The doctors did not believe I would make it.

My family, church, and friends began to pray for me. After two weeks, I was taken off life support and I began to breathe on my own. After a month and a half, I was able to go home.

While I was in the hospital, I had the opportunity to minister to other children that were in the hospital. I read books to them and I played with them. It was a wonderful experience.

I had to use a cane to walk. It was very hard for me. I did not want to use the cane. At first, I began to question God about why this had happened. At one point, I became so frustrated, that I did not walk at all for about two weeks. During one of my check-ups with the physical therapist, I saw a child who I later found out, could not walk at all, learning how to walk with a cane. I began to cry as I saw how excited this child was getting because she was learning how to walk with a cane. After that, I began to walk with my cane.

I wanted to be healed and have the full activities of my limbs. I prayed one night and ask God to heal me completely. I did not tell anyone about my prayer. About 3 months later, during a revival at my church. The evangelist called for people who wanted a miracle. I went down to the altar. The evangelist took my cane and told me to walk. I look at him, I was expecting him to lay hands on me, but he did not. He just looked back at me and said, "You prayed and ask God to heal you three months ago. All you have to do is walk. Give me that cane." All I really remember is taking off running. When I finally realize where I was and what was going on, I was surrounded by my mother and a couple of other women. I was jumping up and down.

I know for myself, the healing power of God.

I will gladly stand-up and tell the world, I BELONG TO GOD!
